Job Vacancy: Air Import Clerk - Freight Forwarding- Midlands
This well renowned international logistics and forwarding group, with a global presence and its own offices all over the world, is currently seeking to recruit an Air Import Clerk within its large central midlands hub.
Duties:
- Opening and maintaining job files through in house system (Procars)
- Maintaining & monitoring shipments through our Track & Trace system
- Arranging customs clearance through ASM GEMS and through our London Heathrow Gateway
- Arranging deliveries to customer requirements
- Invoicing and collecting funds (DUTY/VAT)
- Approving purchase invoices for payment
- Resolving invoice queries (Purchase/sales)
- Quotations
- Completion of reports
Requirements:
- Experience in airfreight imports
- High degree of accuracy and ability to work under pressure
- Working knowledge of customs procedures
