Job Description
Our client is in the FMCG sector within Airport Services
The role: They have an need for a candidate to look after and report on the unit finances coupled with the management of staff/ admin process. The financial aspects include the responsibilities for costs (departmental and Unit compared to KPI's / SLA's)
Key responsibilities
- Build effective reporting mechanisms
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders are kept up to date with the relevant financial information
- Management / supervision of 2 staff members ( which includes performance reviews etc)
- Ensure administrative functions for the unit are efficiently carried out to agreed time-frames
- To understand the role of Customs, IPR their role and regulations and cost implications.
- Ensure all unit costs are captured and unit spend controlled through unit forecasts and budgets.
- Build relationships with various stakeholders to ensure effective flow of information
- Forecast trends and developments, which affect objectives.
- Undertake special ad hoc projects as required/necessary.
- Ensure Unit spends are within budget
- To identify opportunities for improvement in services, products and systems.
Skills & qualifications
- A finance qualification
- Experience of a manufacturing, airline catering or logistics/production process - not essential
- 2 years plus experience in a fast paced environment
- Budgeting and management accounts experience
- Solutions focused
- Experience of using a finance systems
- Strong attention to detail
